The launch of Crowded-Places.com is the first step to building a community of interest, dedicated to solving a vulnerability that affects us all.

Crowded-Places.com intends to bring innovators and their ideas into the spotlight, allowing them to be brought to life by investors and industry, and into action by government and by those responsible for our public places.

We want to become a clearing house for ideas - profiling innovators and innovation in this space, raising the profile and awareness of new technologies, active companies and creative individuals.

We want to become a dynamic hub for new thinking and new technologies – stimulating ideas and discussion, creating a dialogue between innovators and users, between those responsible for protecting public places and those managing crowds, between government, customers and creators. We hope to launch an online  community board that can promote new products, novel technologies, interesting research, relevant to addressing the challenge of crowded place protection.

We also want to encourage and reward innovation - so we are launching an innovation award (comprising cash and consultancy, access and advice). It is an open call for ideas focused on crowded place protection, from across the UK and elsewhere. It is hoped that the Crowded Places Ideas Award will draw out practical technologies that can safeguard the public and the places they enjoy.
